The new Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Children`s Learning and Development (Early Years Educator) (QCF) has been introduced to entirely replace the Early Learning and Childcare pathway for QCF Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce from September 2014. Click for more information.

The course promotes teaching and learning to make sure that children have the skills they need to start school with a broad range of knowledge. This qualification is to guide and assess development of knowledge and skills relating to Early Learning and Childcare, Social Care and the Learning Development and Support Services workforces.

Upon successful completion of the Level 3 Diploma in Children`s Learning and Development (Early Years Educator) (QCF), you will be able to work in the statutory, voluntary or private sectors as a Nursery Worker, Home based child carer, Nanny, Childminder, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Practitioner, Day Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Teacher, Early Years Teacher, Reception Class Teacher, Pre-School Practitioner and Assistant.

To achieve the Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Children`s Learning and Development (Early Years Educator) (QCF), learners must achieve a minimum of 64 credits. The learner must achieve 46 credits from mandatory units and the minimum of 18 credits from the Optional units.

It is anticipated that learners will progress onto the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (England).

Flexible study but could be completed within 3 to 6 months.
