Course Overview

Overview:

The Edexcel Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (QCF) is intended for those who maintain the quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre.

Structure:

This is a 12 credit qualification consisting of the following two mandatory units:

Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internally Assuring the Quality of Assessment

Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment

Progression:

Once learners have achieved this Award they can progress to the following qualifications:

Level 4 Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

Level 4 Award in Understanding the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

Level 4 Award in Externally Assuring the Quality of Assessment Processes and Practice

Level 4 Certificate in Leading the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

Other information – candidates will need to:

Have completed their A1 award and have experience of the assessment process

Monitor a minimum of 2 assessors – each with a minimum of 2 candidates of their own.
