Course Aim:
This course is focused on people working with individuals who may lack capacity.
Course Content:
On successful completion of the training programme and assessment will enable learners to understand:
- The Mental Capacity Act
- The Five Principles of the Act
- Assessing capacity
- Best Interests
- Advance Decisions and Lasting Power of Attorney
- IMCA’s
- Restraint
Course Duration:
Online: The timing and duration is flexible to your requirement.
In-house: This course is run over a period of 3 hours. Minimum of 8 delegates required.

Course Certification:
An attendance certificate is awarded on completion of the Mental Health Capacity Act awareness.
